Parts Of The Guitar

It’s important to know the parts of your guitar before you get started playing your guitar…Let’s check with the pic below to know all the names of acoustic guitar parts.
An acoustic guitar has 3 major parts: Headstock, neck and body.
Other parts:
Machine head/tuning keys: To hold the guitar strings and also have tuning functions.
Nut: Supporting the strings in order to form certain notes.
Fret: Supporting the strings in order to form certain notes when you press the strings on certain frets.
Position dots (Inlays): Giving good recognition to different fret positions.
Soundhole: Producing sound from the guitar body.
Pickguard/Plate: Protecting guitar body from scratching.
Bridge: To make sure the sound from guitar strings could travel over the sound board.
Saddle: Same function as ‘nut’.

In standard tuning the note of the 1st string played "open" is E.  Moving left you have B, G, D, A, E.  Although the high E is called the first string, standard tuning is usually referred to starting with the sixth string.  E A D G B E. I use EAT ALL DAY GET BIG EASY as a saying to help remember the order of the open strings from 6 (top) to 1 (bottom).
