Ties, Dots & Rests

A Tie combines the rhythmic values of two notes and is written as a curved line between two notes of the same pitch.

Dots add one half of whatever note value they are attached to.

Rests simply mean you do not play any note for the time the rest is equal to.

Timing is the lesson here, play at a steady rate and make sure you are being careful with the rhythm.
